H-E-B HOLIDAY
PARADE
Houston’s
Thanksgiving Day Parade, known as the H-E-B Holiday
Parade, is a 60-year-old holiday tradition, showcasing
the Houston community to more than 400,000 parade-goers lining
the streets on Thanksgiving morning. In addition, nearly 2
million people view the Parade via live broadcast on KHOU-TV
(CBS affiliate) in Houston and syndication in Dallas, San
Antonio, Austin and several other cities in the region. We
use "Holiday" in order to promote
Houston’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to these syndicated
markets, via television broadcasts, beyond Thanksgiving Day.
We use both "Thanksgiving" and
"Holiday" in promoting Houston's
annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. You will still see “Thanksgiving”
in signage in the parade entries and in the narrative of the
television commentators, for example.
We are proud of the Thanksgiving Day Parade and have no plans
to drop the association with the venerated American holiday
tradition.
